Head of Sales Industrial Connectors, 100%

Purpose

  • Accountable for the lead, development and support of the Regionals’ Sales Managers worldwide as well as for the alignment of the activities between the Regional Sales Managers & Business Development team to accomplish the strategic targets
  • Performance monitoring as a whole and target development for the sales organisation, examining growth opportunities, enabling sales improvements and taking responsibility for the sales performance against targets
  • Sets and communicates the businesses KPIs and subsequently, defines data-driven actions in order to consistently optimize the businesses’ commercial performance and sales processes
  • Responsible for developing business opportunities within different target segments and customer groups, architecting a global sales strategy and directing next step for implementation of regional/national sales programs and field sales action plans

 Major Accountabilities

  • Takes responsibility for revenue and profitability according to targets
  • Leads, develops, manages the Regional Sales Managers and the Business Developers team
  • Establishes sales objectives for the different regions and assists in the development of the sales plan
  • Implements KPI reporting for the upper management, for use in organizational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting and strategic planning. Tracks booking against target goals, customer’s activity and feedback, sales channel efficiency
  • Sets individual sales targets for and with the local/regional sales managers/organization and ensures that the Business Developers team activities are aligned to these targets
  • Participates in local trade shows and visits key clients in support of the units
  • Consults with customers to diagnose their evolving needs, builds collaborative solutions and assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them
  • Develops sales channels through customer networking, disruptive value solutions, product knowledge education and market segment focus. Gathers and reports on competitive and market intelligence
  • Helps identify new markets/product opportunities and provides input for overall sales strategy
  • Consolidates and aligns processes & methodologies across the international sales managers’ teams
  • Coordinates activities with the local/regional sales team to ensure the successful introduction of new products and implementation of marketing campaigns
  • Recognizes opportunities for sales process improvement proactively
  • Identifies process and execution bottlenecks, and actively work to resolve them in conjunction with the different departments (Supply change, PM, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Legal etc.)
  • Submits progress reports on a regularly basis and ensures that data is accurate
  • Tracks and records activities on regional and global key accounts and helps to close deals to meet the targets
  • Develops and mentors the sales and business development team and continually improves their competences
  • Researches and develops a thorough understanding of the company’s people and capabilities
  • Understands the company’s goal and purpose so that the company’s performance continuously enhances
  • Travel activity worldwide (approx. 30%, as soon as the COVID situation permits safe traveling again)

 Requirements

  • Higher education in Engineering or Business Administration with technical background
  • At least 7 year of relevant sales experience in an international B2B environment with a proven track record of success
  • Experience in leading a multicultural team spread across the globe
  • Extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices in the industrial market, and ability to coach others on them
  • English fluent verbally and written, with strong presentation skills
  • Other language skills are of advantage
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
  • Strength in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Strong leadership and team building skills. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Willingness for potential traveling worldwide (between 2 and 10 days per trip)
